The worldly man does not know how to love himself. some say they deserve it for no reason, some say only those that do good deeds deserve it. Some even say no one ever deserves it no matter what! But we know none of those are true. We are NOT good, we are not deserving and nothing we do can earn it. Our sin defiles us as fallen men, we are enraptured in it, loving it, serving it. You shouldn't love sin, you shouldn't love your sinful self. Man's love is fake and self serving. The reason I love myself is because GOD loves me. Christ has justified me, not man. No mans justifications are enough. No man can do what Christ did. It's great when men like you, but it does not justify you. Only Christ can justify you, and he did! So accept it. Wherever you are say out loud "I love myself because God loves me, I love myself because Christ has justified me.". How amazing is that! The creator of the universe, the binder of the cosmos, the architect of the stars, loves YOU! And he died for you so that you may deserve that love. what a gift hes given us, truly unconditional love.
